Fish Batter Recipe
This is one of our favorite fish batter recipes and it serves 4 -6 people. This can work on pretty much any white fish. We use this often on our freshwater walleyes, pike, perch, and crappies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 cup water
Directions
- Sift all of the dry ingredients together.
- Add water and mix the rest of the ingredients until smooth.
- Coat the fish fillets.
- Cover the fish completely in oil (I use vegetable oil).
- Deep fry until a nice golden brown. It’ll float when ready.
This is a simple fish batter recipe that is a great crowd pleaser!
